Four individuals matching names on the FBI's terror watch list have been apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border over the course of the last few months, according to information the Customs and Border Protection agency provided to Congress. That's more than are arrested in most full years.
Three of the potential terrorists captured while attempting to enter the country from Mexico were from Yemen, with the fourth coming from Serbia.
During his time in office, President Donald Trump often expressed concern about the potential that foreign terrorists would cross the southern border, as he sought congressional support for his border wall and strict policies designed to halt the flow of illegal immigration.
The Biden administration has not commented on the arrests.
