For the first time since 2000, Fox News is trailing both CNN and MSNBC in cable news viewership ratings.

CNN topped cable news with 2.8 million viewers per day from January 4 to January 10, with an average of 4.2 million viewers during primetime. Just behind them, MSNBC averaged 2.3 million viewers per day and 3.8 million during primetime.

Coming in third, Fox News averaged just 1.7 million viewers per day and 3.2 million during primetime.

Many conservative viewers have reportedly abandoned the network as President Trump has urged his followers to turn to other, more right-wing outlets like OANN and Newsmax. According to Yahoo Finance, Newsmax received record ratings last week, with an average of 443,000 primetime viewers.

🔦 Perhaps in response to their ratings slump, Fox News announced changes to its programming lineup on Monday.
