Evangelist Franklin Graham invited Christians to participate in a prayer march in Washington, D.C., on September 26, announcing the event in a video posted to Twitter on Saturday.

"We're gonna pray for this nation. Our only hope for this country is God," Graham said.

Graham, who is the son of late evangelical titan Billy Graham, said the march will start at noon at the Lincoln memorial and marchers will walk the length of the mall.

"I hope that you'll join me right here on the 26th of September. Noon, okay? And we're gonna march from one end of this mall to the other, it'll take us about two hours," Graham said.

Prestonwood Baptist Church Pastor Jack Graham, no relation to Franklin Graham, offered his support and invited those within the Southern Baptist Convention to attend. Others also reacted positively to the event.
