Liberal billionaire investor and philanthropist George Soros is launching a multimillion-dollar effort to win women voters in battleground states in the November presidential election.
Supermajority, a progressive women's group dedicated to "gender equality" among other things, is introducing a $10 million initiative targeting women voters in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Arizona. The effort is funded almost entirely by Democracy PAC, which is completely funded by Soros.
Supermajority has raised $2.5 million so far this cycle — $2 million of which has come from Soros' pro-Democratic political action committee.
On September 26, the left-leaning women's group is launching "Supercharge: Women All In," featuring Sen. Elizabeth Warren, actress Eva Longoria, and former HUD secretary Julian Castro.
According to the group's website, the event "will bring together thousands of women to laugh, sing, dance, and celebrate women's political power."
Soros has contributed $50 million to the Democracy PAC, which the interest group then distributes to other liberal groups, including the Nancy Pelosi-linked House Majority PAC and the Chuck Schumer-associated Senate Majority PAC, Planned Parenthood Votes.
