Gov. Cuomo's order forcing nursing homes to take COVID-19 patients deleted from NY health website

Gov. Andrew Cuomo's March 25 order requiring nursing homes to admit patients recovering from coronavirus has been deleted from the New York Department of Health's website, Fox News reported Tuesday.

The webpage that once hosted the order now displays an error message, saying the "page that you are looking for is not found." The archive indicates the page was deleted after May 5, around the time criticism over the state's nursing home deaths escalated.

Although it is not uncommon for state websites to update information for clarity, other outdated guidelines — including a February order stating "there is no need to cancel school or social events" — remain active on the site.

The New York DOH and Cuomo's office did not offer a response when asked to comment on why the order was removed from the website.

? A copy of the March 25 order was posted by the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine.
