The U.S. Department of State warned Americans on Monday to avoid China during the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, claiming that visiting or remaining in the country could place American citizens in danger with little to no ability to come home.
The department said that the U.S. government has "limited ability to provide emergency services" to any American stuck in China. The Chinese government may impose travel restrictions at little to no advance notice, officials warned.
The disease has been spreading globally, with 110 possible coronavirus cases currently in the United States. The Chinese government has claimed that the deadly sickness' ability to spread may be getting stronger.
