ISIS has claimed responsibility for an early Thursday morning rocket attack on Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.
The five rockets did not cause any injuries and there was no damage to the base, according to military officials.
The attack came a day after the Afghan government released 100 Taliban prisoners as part of a peace deal between the U.S. and the Taliban. The deal, signed in January, is aimed at bringing an end to the decades of war in Afghanistan.
The prisoner release is a crucial first step for negotiations within Afghanistan. The deal also calls for the Taliban to release 1,000 government personnel it is currently holding hostage.
