Islamic State group blamed for murder of Nigerian bridal party traveling to wedding

The Catholic Diocese of Maiduguri, Nigeria, confirmed that a woman and her bridal party were attacked and beheaded by suspected Boko Haram terrorists. The group was traveling from Maiduguri for a December 31 wedding and was attacked in Gwoza.

The bride used to be a parishioner at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Maiduguri, according to a spokesman from the diocese.
