Islamic terror group Boko Haram launched two ambushes over the weekend in Nigeria, leaving 15 dead and dozens injured in Borno State.

The militants first attacked a military convoy on Saturday, killing six soldiers and wounding 26. The second attack was on the state governor's convoy, which left nine dead. The governor, however, has denied he was traveling with the convoy at the time. The Boko Haram has made three attempts on his life this year.

🔦 More than 37,500 people have been killed and 2.5 million people displaced in Nigeria's Lake Chad Basin since 2011 due to Boko Haram and other Islamic terror groups.
