Militant African Islamist terror group Al-Shabaab, which fights for Al-Qaeda, attacked a military base in Kenya used by U.S. and Kenyan forces on Sunday, destroying American aircraft and vehicles.
The U.S. military confirmed the attack, acknowledging "damage to infrastructure and equipment" and saying, "U.S. Africa Command and Kenya Defense Forces repelled the attack":
The Kenyan military said the attack was repelled and at least four of the terrorists were killed:
There were no reports of American or Kenyan deaths.
