Haim Eshed, an 87-year-old retired Israeli general and current college professor, said that the governments of both the State of Israel and the United States of America have been in contact with alien lifeforms, but have not gone public because "humanity isn't ready."

Speaking to the Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharonot, Eshed confirmed the existence of what he called a "Galactic Federation."

Eshed was the head of Israel's space security program for almost three decades, and was a three-time winner of the Israel Security Award.

Eshed said that the aliens and United States have constructed a secret underground base on the planet Mars where both extra-terrestrial and American representatives meet. He also claimed that President Trump was "on the verge" of exposing the truth to humanity, but stopped after the Galactic Federation urged him from doing so in order to avoid mass hysteria.

The elderly professor is releasing his newest book, "The Universe Beyond the Horizon – Conversations with Professor Haim Eshed," which holds even more information about humanity's reported alien allies, such as that they allegedly have saved the earth from nuclear destruction.

Eshed denies there is any correlation between the release of his book and his going public with these shocking claims. He says his timing has more to do with the fact that he has now established his credibility and will be taken seriously in academic circles.

"If I had come up with what I'm saying today five years ago, I would have been hospitalized," Eshed said. "Today, they're already talking differently. I have nothing to lose. I've received my degrees and awards; I am respected in universities abroad, where the trend is also changing."
