The Office star John Krasinski launched his "Some Good News" YouTube show on Sunday in an effort to bring some positivity amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Dressed in a suit and tie with a colorful "SGN" sign on the wall behind him created by his daughters, Krasinski elaborated on his reason for launching the show.
"For years now, I've been wondering, why is there not a news show dedicated entirely to good news?" Krasinksi said. "Well, desperately seeking my fix somewhere else, I reached out to all of you this week, asking — nay, begging — for some good news. And boy, did you deliver."
Krasinski's presentation mimicked the typical nightly newscast, including stacks of papers, different camera angles, and digital on-screen graphics in the upper corners.
Approximately halfway through the "broadcast," Krasinski's former The Office co-star Steve Carell joined the show to reflect on some of the iconic sitcom's finest moments.
