Landmark Theaters is banning wearing masks and costumes to the upcoming “Joker” movie, which opens October 4th.

Landmark joins AMC in prohibiting masks, facepaint, or anything that conceals the face, although AMC does not prohibit costumes. AMC started banning masks immediately following the 2012 shooting in Aurora, Colorado.

The ban comes less than a week after the U.S. Army sent out an email saying they had received intelligence that certain groups may target Joker screenings and warning to be wary of a shooting.
