A judge has ruled that Jeffery Younger, a father who is trying to prevent his 7-year-old son from transitioning to a girl, will share joint conservatorship with Anne Georgulas, the boy’s mother.

Judge Kim Cooks’ ruling means that Younger will share decisions about medical care with Georgulas. Cooks also put a gag order on Younger to prevent him from speaking to the press about the case, as well as decided he does not have to pay attorney fees.

Younger and his ex-wife were in court last week fighting over custody for James and his twin. Georgulas wants to continue to transition James into “Luna,” a girl, including starting him on puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.
