A Milwaukee judge who led an LGBT organization that sponsored "Drag Queen Story Hours" in public libraries was arrested Wednesday on charges of child pornography.

Judge Brett Blomme, 38, allegedly uploaded 27 pictures and videos of child sexual abuse to the Kik app and has been charged with seven counts of possessing child pornography. Blomme reportedly uploaded the media on a friend's WiFi, leading the friend to report the activity to the police.

Each charge has a minimum of three years and a maximum of 15 years, meaning Blomme would be sentenced to 21 years in prison at minimum if convicted.

Blomme also served as president of the Cream City Foundation, a Wisconsin LGBT organization that sponsored drag queen events for children at local libraries.

The local group that actually hosted the events has cut financial ties with the Cream City Foundation in response.

Blomme's two adopted children were not reportedly involved in the abuse, but have been placed in protective custody.
