American rapper and music producer Kanye West has reportedly named his vice presidential running mate for his long-shot independent presidential bid.
Though she is yet to confirm it, TMZ has revealed "Biblical life coach" Michelle Tidball of Cody, Wyoming, is set to join his ticket. West has owned a ranch in Cody since 2018, but it is unclear whether West was ever her client.
"Through my diligence in the study of the word, living in boldness, love, integrity, and hard work, I am dedicated to learn more about God, others, and the world. I value learning, loyalty, optimism, peace, faith, wisdom, compassion, creativity, and community," Tidball, 57, writes on her website, Yarash. "I am a loyal person who desires to 'stick closer than a brother.' My desire is to live in peace with God and man, to engage my faith daily over all circumstances with wisdom, compassion, and creativity at the helm. I continue to involve myself in community — local, state, and abroad."
Wallace Johnson, a retired lawyer and a former special assistant to Richard Nixon who also lives in Cody, told the New Yorker he approves of the pick.
"She's a wise pick: extremely articulate, likable, and capable," Johnson said. "As far from Sarah Palin as I can imagine."
? West's campaign remains a bit of a mystery, with some suggesting it is all part of an emotional episode, while others tag it a public relations stunt. The apparent selection of a running mate, as well as renewed efforts to get his name on several state ballots, seem to indicate that West himself remains quite serious about his candidacy.
