In what continues to be one of the more bizarre elements of the 2020 presidential election, rapper Kanye West has tweeted out an image of Mount Rushmore with his face added to it.
West announced on July 4 that he was running for president as an independent candidate and quickly amassed a 180-member campaign team in the key battleground state of Florida. He was also photographed registering to vote in Wyoming.
But just 10 days later, after polls showed he was likely to receive only 2% of the vote running against President Trump and Joe Biden, as well as his team's apparent failure to collect the necessary signatures before the deadline to get him on the ballot in Florida, West reportedly dropped out of the race.
The rapper later reversed course, filing a Statement of Candidacy with the FEC on Thursday.
