“Jesus is King,” the much-anticipated, gospel-themed album by Kanye West, has finally dropped, ending over a year’s worth of waiting on the “recently born again” rapper’s latest work.
West began recording “Jesus is King” in August of 2018. Planned release dates in September and November of that year were missed; the album was subsequently delayed indefinitely. It missed two more release dates last month. The album went through one final delay, today at midnight; it was then delayed for a further 12 hours.
On Thursday West also announced another project, due at Christmas, titled “Jesus is Born.”
