Kayleigh McEnany, the former White House press secretary under Donald Trump who developed a reputation for her combative sparring with hostile media, has been promoted by Fox News to a full-time hosting job.

McEnany was hired as a contributor at Fox several weeks ago, but will now join Harris Faulkner and Emily Compagno to co-host the daytime show "Outnumbered."

"Kayleigh's unique background in politics and law coupled with her experiences confronting women's health challenges and life as a new mom will add robust insight to Outnumbered — we are delighted to welcome her back to FOX News where she began her media career," network CEO Suzanne Scott said.

McEnany joins Larry Kudlow, who hosts a weekday program on Fox Business Channel, as a second Trump administration alum to anchor a full time show on Fox. The network also hired the former president's daughter-in-law Lara Trump as a contributor.
