White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow on Friday said that socialism, not the coronavirus, is what could destroy the American economy.
"The virus is not going to sink the American economy. What is, or could, sink the American economy is the socialism coming from our friends on the other side of the aisle. That's the biggest fear that I have," Kudlow said.
During an evening session of the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington D.C., Kudlow and Ivanka Trump spoke about the coronavirus outbreak and its impact on the economy.
"Right now everyone is focused on the coronavirus and I was on the air this morning suggesting that the world was not coming to an end," he said.
He emphasized that socialism was the biggest threat to the United States and that he's ready to stand up against it in 2020.
