Several donors to Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign have been hit with major charges of campaign finance violations, including a man charged with child pornography who was also a witness in the Mueller investigation.
According to the National Review, "although the indictment does not specifically name the recipient of the donations, it is clear that the contributions went to groups allied with Clinton's presidential campaign."
Authorities said the alleged criminals sought to conceal upwards of $3.5 million in excessive campaign donations. The purported violations occurred during the 2016 election and after.
Among the charged was George Nader, who last year was caught possessing child pornography. Nader gained partial immunity from the child pornography charges when he agreed to testify in the Mueller investigation.
