Major Study Finds U.S. Citizens Are Most Generous In The World

The World Giving Index, using data from a worldwide Gallup survey which asked 1.3 million people their habits with respect to helping strangers or donating money or time to charity, has awarded the United States the title of most generous nation in the world over the past decade.

The top three most generous countries on the index were the U.S., Myanmar, and New Zealand at number three. The countries that scored the lowest were Yemen, Greece, and China.
