A sizable majority of evangelical Christians say that President Donald Trump’s behavior and conduct will not sway their support of him.

A new poll by the Public Religion Research Institute revealed that while majorities of most demographics consider Trump’s personal behavior sufficient reason to withhold their support, 47 percent of white evangelical Christians say his conduct “makes no difference to them.” 16 percent of evangelicals say they are more likely to support the president because of the way he acts.

A full 63 percent of evangelicals believe Trump’s behavior has not damaged or stained the office of the presidency, while 65 percent of Americans overall believe that it has.
