A recent poll found that a little more than half of voters, regardless of personal preference and political affiliation, believe President Trump will win reelection.
The Zogby Analytics poll found that 51% of voters believe Trump will win, 43% think Joe Biden will win, and 6% believe someone else will win.
The subgroups most likely to believe Trump will win include "born again" Christians, NASCAR fans, Union voters, and voters who recently lost a job.
Trump also edged out over Biden in the East, South, and Central/Great Lakes regions, but lost to Biden in the West, where 49% think Biden will win. The Central/Great Lakes area had the highest percentage for Trump at 56%.
The race became closer when it came to swing voters, Zogby Analytics said.
"For example, Independent voters (Biden 45%/Trump 42%) were slightly more upbeat that Joe Biden would win, no matter their political support, as were moderates (Biden 51%/42% Trump), while among Hispanics there was a statistical tie at 45% and 46%, respectively, between Trump and Biden," Zogby said.
The poll surveyed 1,007 voters.
