Maryland bar unveils "bumper tables" to keep customers socially distanced

Fish Tales, a popular bar in Ocean City, Maryland, has devised a clever solution to enforce social distancing measures prescribed by authorities. Large inner-tubes with small, individualized tables inside them will wrap around patrons to ensure they do not get too close to each other.

The "bumper tables" are equipped with wheels so that the customer is free to mingle – at a government-approved, six-foot distance from others.

Maryland bars are still currently restricted to take-out services only, but an employee said the restaurant will start using the tables when it is allowed to serve.
