Workers at the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic will get free meals from McDonald's, the chain announced on Tuesday, a gesture of thanks to those who are working the hardest to fight against the infectious disease.
The "Thank-You Meals" will be offered to those workers through May 5. First responders, healthcare workers, and police officers are all eligible to receive one meal per day at any hour of the day.
Workers will be required to show a qualifying I.D. or badge to receive the meal. The company expects to give away several million of the promotions.
