Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg is prepared to spend $1 billion of his own money to ensure that President Trump loses the 2020 election — regardless of whether or not he is the party nominee.

Bloomberg told The New York Times on Saturday that he would even contribute to the campaigns of Sens. Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren, despite their glaring political differences.

"I really don't agree with them but I'd still support them, yes, because compared to Donald Trump that's easy," Bloomberg said.

The amount that Bloomberg would actually spend would depend on how much support the Democratic nominee would need.

"It depends whether the candidate needs help; if they're doing very well, they need less. If they're not, they'll need more," he mentioned during an interview in Texas.

The billionaire is also committed to not airing any negative ads against other Democratic candidates because he wants defeating Trump to remain the top priority.

Forbes pegs Bloomberg's net worth at $58.4 billion.
