Michigan State Police announced on Wednesday that it had located 25 missing children from across the Greater Detroit area, including Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
In Operation MISafeKid II, police cross-referenced photos, last known locations, and other identifying information to locate the children, many of whom were at risk for sex trafficking.
According to the statement, one of the recoveries was a 9-year-old who had run away from foster care, as well as two teenage girls who were potential victims of sex trafficking.
