A Mississippi man was arrested and charged Friday with insurance fraud after he reported racist graffiti on two of his vehicles early in February.
Trumaine Foster told police that he woke up on February 4 to find his vehicles had been spray painted with racial slurs and the word "TRUMP."
Although local police took him into custody Friday and charged him with insurance fraud and tampering with evidence after he painted over the graffiti, they did not explicitly say he was responsible for the vandalism.
Foster owns a body shop and many people within the automotive community reported that he specializes in painting cars.
Neighbors Shelby and Bradley Littleton said the "hoax just kind of made us look silly" and "to make something up, that just does not make sense."
Foster is currently being held in the DeSoto County Jail and is due to appear in court on Wednesday.
