The New York Police Department has sustained damage to 303 official vehicles since the death in late May of George Floyd, costing the department almost $1 million in damages.
Following Floyd's death, rioters have frequently run rampant in the city, attacking police officers, vandalizing their cars and vans, and destroying buildings.
Most of the damaged vehicles are back in use, but repairs are still being done on seven. Fourteen were burned so badly they cannot be repaired.
Some of the latest vehicle casualties include three damaged Saturday night. One video from that night showed a man smashing the window of a police van, while another man spray painted another van.
