CNN failed to ask the Netflix CEO a single question about a recent controversy over the film "Cuties" during a 10-minute interview on its network.

Poppy Harlow of "CNN Newsroom" interviewed Netflix CEO Reed Hastings on Thursday, focusing the interview on Hastings' new book on Netflix's corporate culture, rather than the controversy currently embroiling the streaming service.

Netflix is currently receiving heavy backlash for hosting the film "Cuties," which critics say legitimizes pedophilia. The movie follows 11-year-old Amy as she joins a dance group called "The Cuties."

Critics have slammed both the movie and Netflix for the dances performed in the film, which many have deemed provocative.

Netflix apologized for the film, but said it has no plans to remove it.

"We're deeply sorry for the inappropriate artwork that we used for ‘Cuties,'" Netflix said in a statement. "It was not OK, nor was it representative of this French film which premiered at Sundance. We've now updated the pictures and description."
