New York congressional representative Chris Collins is resigning ahead of a presumed guilty plea as part of an insider trading case.

Collins came under scrutiny in 2017 when investigators began probing his stake in a pharmaceutical company called Innate Immunotherapeutics. Collins managed to avoid nearly $600,000 in losses with a well-timed sale in 2017, following an email from the company’s CEO.

A special election will be held to fill Collins’s seat.
