Fulani Muslim militants on Wednesday invaded the Christian village of Tudu-Doka Avong in Kajuru, Kaduna State, Nigeria, murdering nine people and injuring several others.
Community representative Usman Stingo confirmed the attacked.
"It happened at about 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. The gunmen arrived [at] the village and started shooting sporadically," Stingo reported. "They entered into some homes and burnt household stuff. The situation is very, very pathetic."
A list of victims, which included women and children, was published by the International Christian Concern.

Joseph Hayab, the Kaduna State chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, also confirmed the incident, noting the images of the aftermath were "not good to look at."
"Nine persons were killed, including women and children," Hayab said. "The mood in the entire Kajuru area is gloomy. People are living in fear."
