Due to coronavirus concerns, Connecticut man Bob Shellard was not allowed to visit his wife Nancy inside her nursing home on the couple's 67th wedding anniversary.
So Bob visited the nursing home and stood outside his bride's window with balloons and a sign with a big heart drawn on it that read, "I've loved you 67 years and still do. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY."
Nancy responded to her husband by waving and blowing kisses from the window of her second floor room.
"It makes me feel bad because I want her down with me and I know she can't be," Bob said. This is the first wedding anniversary that the couple has ever been apart.
Before nursing home visitors were banned for 30 days due to the outbreak, Bob would visit his wife every day.
