Reeeaaaallllllyyyyyy ?

It was bad enough that government officials and health "experts" would vilify rural churchgoers wanting to gather for worship, scold families seeking to hold a private funeral, and forbid relatives from saying goodbye to dying love ones, claiming they might spread coronavirus and imperil humanity.

They did this while simultaneously allowing and even promoting every left-wing mass street protest from "social justice" riots to Black Trans Lives Matter marches to gay Pride parades.

Ten family members, properly distanced, fully-clothed, and wearing masks at a funeral was a threat, they said. But thousands of half-naked, spitting, yelling, sweating protesters, climbing all over each other's backs was safe. Mmmkay.

But now, as if they hadn't sufficiently shoved their credibility into the industrial paper shredder deep enough, a new "study" from a University of Colorado Denver research team has the unconscionable audacity to tell us that all those street protests actually helped slow the spread of coronavirus! Please excuse me. I need a minute.

"We think that what's going on is it's the people who are not going to protest are staying away," said Andrew Friedson, the CU-Denver professor who is one of the paper's co-authors. "The overall effect for the entire city is more social distancing because people are avoiding the protests."

Who knew? The cure to COVID wasn't shelter-in-place after all. It was massive street riots. And before you think this is politically-motivated, don't worry. Andrew says he isn't wired that way.

"I'm someone who likes to get the answers out," Friedson said.

Well, that should be good enough for all of us then.

Honestly, I'd say this is the dumbest thing I've ever read, but I'm afraid that our fearless leaders and "experts" would take that as a challenge, so I won't.
