The Ohio High School Athletic Association releases its new coronavirus-related rules for all high school sports.
Full-contact sports, such as wrestling, are approved with some restrictions. Social distancing and mask-wearing are required by all who are not actively playing or warming up. Frequent hand sanitizing during stoppages in play will be enforced. Sharing equipment is prohibited.
For wrestling, the traditional post-match handshake between the two wrestlers and the referee lifting a wrestler's arm to indicate the winner is banned. Referees will point to indicate the winner instead.
