The Pentagon suspended flight training on Tuesday for all Saudi students following a Saudi national's shooting rampage at Naval Air Station Pensacola that left three people and the shooter dead.
The Pentagon is currently undergoing a broad review of its training of international servicemembers. The training of 852 Saudi students will be "paused" during the review, with the stand-down lasting for the duration of the review.
The Saudi Arabian government is reportedly supportive of the decision. President Trump last week said he had spoken with the Saudi king, who "expressed his sincere condolences" following the shooting.
