A looter was shot and killed after attempting to rob a South Philadelphia gun store on Tuesday morning.

Greg Isabella, 67, is the owner of Firing Line Inc., one of the oldest gun shops in the city. He saw a group of looters on surveillance video attempting to break into his store early Tuesday morning.

Isabella confronted the group shortly after 4 a.m. He said one member of the group — which numbered three or four people — pointed a gun at him.

Isabella then shot the man using an AR-15. The man reportedly died on the scene. A second suspect was likely injured in the shoulder, according to reports from police and a local hospital.

Isabella said he suspects that looters attempted to break into the shop the previous night, as well.
