Numerous trained pigeons wearing tiny Make America Great Again hats were released in downtown Las Vegas on Wednesday ahead of the Democratic debate.
The bizarre stunt is meant as a show of support for President Trump, claims the leader of Pigeons United To Interfere Now, the group responsible.
The group, led by a man who goes by "Coo Hand Luke," said the move was inspired by the Cold War-era CIA operation "Tacana," in which agents used pigeons fitted with tiny cameras to spy on Soviet Union sites.
It is unclear if the stunt is meant to be taken as literal or satirical support of the president. Considering the group's acronym — P.U.T.I.N. — and the fact that their video begins with a shot of pigeon defecation on an American flag, the latter seems more likely.
