Planned Parenthood’s super PAC announced a $45 million electoral campaign on Wednesday designed to fund “large-scale” grassroots organization and outreach.
The campaign will focus on Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The states are must-wins for Trump.
The investment will go toward canvassing, as well as digital, television, radio, and mail outreach programs. It will also focus on state legislatures.
“Next November, our very rights and freedoms will be on the ballot,” said Kelley Robinson, executive director of Planned Parenthood Votes. “Already, we’ve seen Trump and his buddies in Congress and state legislatures do everything they can to strip us of our rights and access to health care.”
🔦 Planned Parenthood left the federal family planning program in April after the Trump administration instituted what the abortion provider called a “gag rule,” barring doctors from referring women to clinics that provide abortions.
