Planned Parenthood is dedicated to spending $45 million during this year's election to support candidates who endorse abortion.
The pro-abortion advocacy group launched its campaign efforts — officially labeled "We Decide 2020" — earlier this week, hosting more than 60 events throughout the country. Its goal is to reach five million voters across the nine swing states.
Executive director for Planned Parenthood Votes, Jenny Lawson, claims that "the stakes have never been higher" in regard to an election year.
"[The Trump Administration] has managed to undo so much over the last three years. The fact that this summer the Supreme Court might gut Roe v. Wade is an indicator of their intention and they've never been so bold," Lawson said.
Planned Parenthood plans to fund large-scale grassroots initiatives, as well as commercial spots across all major platforms such as radio, television, and streaming services.
