25% of 1,100 Americans polled said they have no money set aside at all, according to a recent survey commissioned by GOBankingRates.
Another 23% said they had just enough money to survive the next three weeks, while 42% said they would have to spend the $1,200 government stimulus check immediately on bills and essential supplies such as groceries.
The survey also revealed that two-thirds of Americans have already suffered financial loss because of the coronavirus crisis (36%) or expect to very soon (28%).
