Nearly two-thirds of American voters believe progressives are somewhat or very likely to be violent if President Trump wins re-election in November, according to results of a new poll by Rasmussen.

The survey asked respondents how likely they think it is that such a reaction will occur if the president wins the election. Just more than a third of respondents — 34% — said they think it is "very likely," 28% said they think it is "somewhat likely," 13% said they think it is "not very likely," 8% responded with "not at all likely," and 16% said they were uncertain.

When asked how likely they think it is that conservatives will become violent if former Vice President Joe Biden wins the election, this was the break down of responses:

  • 16% Very Likely
  • 22% Somewhat Likely
  • 28% Not Very Likely
  • 20% Not At All Likely
  • 14% Not Sure

The survey took place over three days in late July and garnered responses from 1,200 registered voters.
