Pope Francis on Monday tweeted an invitation to "believers of every religion" to "unite themselves spiritually in a day of prayer, fasting and works of charity, to implore God to help humanity overcome the coronavirus pandemic":

I would like to remind you that on 14 May, believers of every religion are invited to unite themselves spiritually in a day of prayer, fasting and works of charity, to implore God to help humanity overcome the coronavirus #pandemic. #HumanFraternity #PrayTogether

? This is a marked departure from the historical Christian teaching that Jesus Christ is the only path by which God can be reached.
