In an extended Twitter rant on Tuesday morning, President Trump threatened to sue "everyone" in connection with the Mueller investigation, dismissing the entire process as a "witch hunt."

Apparently referring to the prosecutors who resigned following the Department of Justice overruling their sentence for Trump affiliate Roger Stone, Trump criticized the investigation as "illegally set up."

The president claimed the investigation was a "total scam" and implied that he might, even while still in office, sue those who conducted it.

The president's combined tweets read:

"These were Mueller prosecutors, and the whole Mueller investigation was illegally set up based on a phony and now fully discredited Fake Dossier, lying and forging documents to the FISA Court, and many other things. Everything having to do with this fraudulent investigation is badly tainted and, in my opinion, should be thrown out. Even Mueller's statement to Congress that he did not see me to become the FBI Director (again), has been proven false. The whole deal was a total SCAM. If I wasn't President, I'd be suing everyone all over the place ... BUT MAYBE I STILL WILL. WITCH HUNT!"

The Mueller investigation was ultimately unable to find any evidence substantiating a collusion or coordination effort between Trump campaign officials and Russian nationals.
