In a pair of tweets Thursday evening, President Trump laid out three options for dealing with Turkey.

“We have one of three choices: Send in thousands of troops and win militarily, hit Turkey very hard financially and with sanctions, or mediate a deal between Turkey and the Kurds.”

Trump reiterated this stance in an interview with C-Span Thursday evening:

🔦 The tweets follow fierce bipartisan criticism Trump has received for his decision to pull U.S. troops out of Syria. The removal has allowed Turkey to advance into the region to attack the U.S.-allied Kurds, who Turkey has argued is an element of a greater terrorist community.
