Former Bill Clinton special prosecutor Kenneth Starr and Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz will be joining President Trump's impeachment defense team at the Senate trial beginning Saturday evening.
Dershowitz has been an avid defender of President Trump throughout his presidency.
Following the House impeachment votes in December, he said, "it is difficult to imagine anything more unconstitutional" than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's decision to withhold the articles of impeachment from the Senate.
Starr has been integral in defending Trump as far back as special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of the alleged Russian interference during the 2016 presidential elections.
Trump's defense team will present a document denying the House's allegations at 6 p.m. on Saturday. The team will follow this up with a more robust response Monday at noon.
