Devina Singh, a 24-year-old NYU alum and former intern for Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), has been arrested and charged with obstruction of governmental administration, harassment, and violation of local law after an altercation with a New York City police officer.

Singh held her cell phone in her hand, presumably filming herself, as she shouted profanities at an officer in riot gear. "F--- you, fascist!" she screamed twice, before proceeding to spit in the officer's face. She was then forcibly taken into custody.

[Warning: Language]:

Singh, who has earned the online nickname "phlegm fatale" for her antics, has been arrested in New York at least twice before. She was charged with resisting during a September riot and again for unlawful assembly during an October protest.

🔦 Shouting in close proximity in the midst of a pandemic is considered dangerous, as is intentionally spitting on another person's face.
