Footwear company Puma has launched a line of "Active Gaming Footwear," what it describes as a "gaming sock" meant to be worn while playing video games.

The company describes the product as suitable for "indoor and in-arena use" in a way that allows gamers to "adapt to different active gaming modes."

The gaming stocks retail for $160. Consumers are able to pay the price in installments if they desire.

According to Puma:

"Created with console gamers in mind, the gaming sock is the first edition Active Gaming Footwear . . . it delivers seamless comfort, support and grip so gamers can adapt to different active gaming modes and game their best."
