Russian President Vladimir Putin responded to President Joe Biden's accusation that he is a "killer" on Thursday, turning the label back around on the U.S. president.
"Whoever calls someone those names, is describing themselves," Putin said in a press conference, according to a translation shared by CNN. "...As [Biden] mentioned, we do know each other personally. What can I tell him? I wish him good health. That's without irony."
Biden made the comment during an interview with ABC News host George Stephanopoulos. The news host asked Biden if he believes the Russian president was a killer, to which he responded, "I do."
"He will pay a price," Biden said at the time. "We had a long talk, he and I. I know him relatively well and the conversation started off, I said, 'I know you and you know me. If I establish this occurred then be prepared.'"
